Movie Night!

You would think by their expressions we were forcing them to watch a scary movie! It's just The Grinch. And, this was like the first 2 minutes of it. Riveting I guess... :)

Isaac's 6th Birthday Party!

Thanksgiving Day Pictures

We spent Thanskgiving at my Grandma Marlene's in Fairbury. When we got back to Lincoln the kids and I went to Applebee's for supper with Ashley and my Aunt Shari. They had a turkey dinner special! :) Then Ashley and I did some shopping and lots more on Black Friday. The highlight of the whole week was that Isaac and Luke came to spend the night! We were counting down all week and couldn't wait! Andy and Cassie's and all of their kids stayed, but of course Isaac and Luke are the most important! The dads watched all 6 kids on Friday while Cassie and I shopped for like 9 hours. It was great! Got all of my Christmas shopping done! Then we left that evening to go to Paul's parents for the rest of the weekend and for Isaac's 6th birthday party! Let's just say the kids had like the best weekend of their life. Playing nonstop together for 2 days straight and then a birthday party at the bowling alley!

Momentos from my mom

Last week the kids both got a little surprise momento that was my moms. They are the perfect things for them and they were SO excited!! Brynlee loves her Fancy Nancy doll and walks her all over the house. Grady could not stop yelling 'yes yes yes!' about the football and talked nonstop about playing like the Huskers. The only other football he had was a small sized one, so he was super excited to get a 'real' football!

Pick your own outfit day...everyday...

This girl is about ready to drive me crazy with her outfit pickiness! :) She has to wear a pretty dress or skirt every day. I don't know how many days last week she picked up what I had picked out and threw it into the hallway and told me no she is not wearing that she is wearing a pretty dress. One day she even threw the clothes I had picked out back in her room, shut the light off and then shut the door so I couldn't get to it again. Stinker!
I don't know why it even matters what she wears because every day when she gets to Kellan's she puts on a princess costume and wears it all day long.
This particular day was actually 'Jammie' day at Kellan's but she refused to wear them because she wanted clothes and it had to be a skirt. She is on a big tutu/skirt kick the last week or so, so she had to wear one that day and did not want to wear it over Jammie's, only her clothes.
So, this is the outfit she picked out that we compromised on. The first shirt choice she had was a red sparkly husker shirt and she did not want pants under her skirt.... Glad I at least won that one! :)
Girls! I love most of it so can't really complain. It just drives me crazy at 6:30 in the morning... :)

Disney Princesses Live!

Brynlee got to go to Disney Princesses Live in Omaha last weekend! What a dream come true and fun thing for all of the little girls there! I think almost every girl there had on a princess dress, costume, or some sort or tutu! It was perfect for little girls. Brynlee sat in awe, eyes never going away from the stage the entire time! My aunts Shari and Lori and I got to go and have a girls day with her! We had a fun lunch and then shopping after the show! Brynlee was in heaven with all of the girly things! And she even came home with a new super cute pink hat and some sparkly pink high top shoes!

Grady's gingerbread house

Grady's preschool class made gingerbread houses to be displayed at the parish bazaar a couple weeks ago. They pair up with an 8th grader to help make them! It is such a neat thing for them to do together.

Favorite Day of the month

The new American Girl catalog has arrived!! She will sit and look through it and pick out all of her favorites for hours if she could!

Grady the soccer player

Grady played micro soccer with a YMCA clinic in September.  It was super awesome for his age group!  They split up into groups with 1 coach and 1 helper and they basically did drills that were actually games.  He did great, for never having played soccer before or realling knowing what a soccer ball was before he started.  (If you know Paul at all you know he hates soccer and doesn't think it is a real sport....so it was so big of him to allow Grady to play! haha)  We loved the coaches and the types of drills they did were so age appropriate.  It was every Saturday morning in September, so it was short enough that we didn't get tired of going, but just long enough that Grady was very comfortable and looked forward to it each week.
He has become so much more interested in sports over the summer and pretty much plans his days around when he can play/practice baseball in the basement with Paul.  Just the other day we said something about college and he (in true dramatic Grady fashion) said in a very whiny voice, 'No!  I don't like college because then I have to choose if I want to play baseball or football and I just like them both!'  HA!  Such a hard life as a 4 year old to have to choose between what he wants to play in college.  :)
Paul is loving having his little sports buddy who always wants to play baseball, knows all of the Royals players by number and position, can name almost all of the major league baseball teams by their helmets, and is super sad that baseball season is over now, but counting down the days until it starts again.  He is now starting to get into football season a little more, but is having a hard time with the fact that we won't let him tackle or be tackled.  (His glasses broke 3 times in the past 2 weeks because of tackling...)  I taught him about flag and touch football the other day so now he is excited to be able to 'teach' Luke and Isaac about that and not tackle since he isn't allowed to play.  He even said to me, "When I get to heaven I will be able to play tackle football and anything I want since I won't have glasses there."  Love it!  :)

Roca Pumpkin Patch!

Brynlee got to go to 3 different pumpkin patches this fall!  At every one she was determined to find 'a little tiny pumpkin'.  She was LOVING this tiny green one she found at Roca!  She actually found an even smaller one at the 3rd pumpkin patch she went to and was in love with it.  It was so tiny it did actually fit into her little hand perfectly.  She is obsessed with all things 'little' and tells us that she is NOT a big girl that she is little.  She doesn't want to have anything to do with being a big girl right now, wants to be carried everywhere, etc.  Which, is weird because we would sort of expect this behavior after the baby is born, but we are still months away from the baby being born!  It is actually so adorable, that I love it when she says things about being little.  :)  Grady gets very bad though and fights her on the fact that she IS a big girl.

Grady took his time in finding the perfect pumpkin for him.  He didn't really care about the size (although we told him he had to be able to carry it by himself...), he just wanted one without any holes or spots on it.

Pink Out night at tumbling!

She was living her dream with getting to wear all pink!! She looked forward to it all day and was so excited to change into her tumbling clothes!!
I love my little girly girl! And I love that she loves tumbling so much and is good at it!

Pumpkin Run

Grady did the Pumpkin Run with Paul at Pioneers Park a few weeks ago.  It was a 1 mile course and he ran the entire thing, loving it!  They stopped at one point because he decided he wanted his gloves on and Paul said he kept getting so mad at all of the people passing them!  But, as soon as they got the gloves on and started going again they passed those people and he was super excited.  :)

The 'cheering' section.... haha!
