Weekend with Twins...

well, 1 of them was a twin...

A few weeks ago we had Patrick Deaver for the weekend.  He is 1 week older than Grady, so they are basically twins.  Patrick has a twin brother, Jackson, so the 3 of them are basically triplets.....

We had a fun weekend with our twins!  We went on walks, went to the park twice, played outside, played inside, went to church, went to Wal-mart, and watched the Huskers play!  Patrick did awesome and is an easy going little boy. Grady did not do so well and was extremely naughty the entire weekend.  Patrick probably thinks Paul and I only yell instead of talk in normal voices..  :)  We think he was partly trying to show off for Patrick and partly did not like having the attention not fully on him.  Whatever it was, it was not cool.  He wasn't even mean to Patrick, just outright naughty all by himself.  We might need to borrow the Deaver's new baby when it comes for a weekend to get him used to having a baby around and NOT being the center of attention!  :)

Here are a few pictures of our weekend!

Gradynisms....

Grady is doing so many fun things these days, one of which is talking a lot!  (Sometimes too much...)  :)  These are some of the funniest things he says:
*Gabba Gabba - his favorite show Yo Gabba Gabba
*Brush Teeth! (his favorite things to do, which he does all by himself standing on his step stool and his quite proud of himself)
*Home! when we stop the car and get out, even if we aren't at home
*Beppy - what he calls our friend Becky ;)
*Carter (in a very low voice) - his friend at daycare
*Brobee - the character from Yo Gabba Gabba who he is going to be for Halloween, and he also has a backpack stuffed animal that he loves to carry around and hug
*Applesauce - one of his favorite things to eat every night
*PEASE! - his version of Please which he has mastered in the perfect sweetest little voice to get what he wants....
*Paul - he loves to yell Paul when Paul isn't in the room or point out where he is, it's hilarious!
*Hut Hut Hike - Paul and Grady play a version of football where Grady is the center and Paul is the quarterback and Grady loves to toss it to him between his legs
*And many more that I can't think of right now!

He is pretty much imitating any wordswe tell him to, especially names of people.  He is OBSESSED with his photobook where he can look through and point out everyone and say who they are.  So obsessed that we have to hide it from him....  He especially loves to say:  Ashley, Isaac, Grandma, Grandpa, Daddy, Mommy, Cassie, Patrick, and Carter and picks those people out in his book right away.  It's an awesome way for him to remember who everyone is that he doesn't get to see very much.

His other love is books, but not just any book, he has his personal favorites that we read over and over and over and BEG him to pick out different ones.  He gets really mad if he goes through the basket to find a book and he can't find the certain one that he wants.  He could sit and have us read books to him all night long, which is great, but we are both getting pretty sick of reading his LAME alphabet book over and over.  Paul actually has it memorized......   I love that he loves to read books though!  He will sit and "read" his favorite to himself also, and points like we do and says it in the same tone of voice we do.  It is so funny to watch!

We're having a......

 BABY!

I guess it's time to officially announce it on the blog, after much prodding from certain people.....  :)
We are excited to announce we will be expecting our 2nd baby in April.  My official due date is April 10th, the ultrasound measurements at 10 weeks confirmed my due date I had already figured.
It will be a scheduled C-section so we will get to pick our babies birthday, which seems sort of weird, but fun!  As long as the pregnancy is going well and I don't go into labor on my own we can do a c-section up to a week before my due date, so look for a baby BEFORE April 10th!

Gradyn loves to rub my belly and say "baby" over and over again.  He is finally learning that he can only RUB my belly since it has a baby and not HIT it like he does his daddy's belly.  :)
He is also obsessed with babies right now and loves to say "baby" as loud as he can over and over again when he sees a baby, in person, on TV, or wherever.

I have definately been feeling MUCH better than I ever did with Gradyn, I could actually get off the couch and function the first 12 weeks, which was NOT the case with him.  But, I have still been having quite a bit of morning sickness, all day long.  The good news is that it has been getting less and less intense and not lasting as long.  And, I have been feeling good in the mornings now (after throwing up right after I get up) and feel good during the day until about 5:00 at night, so my "morning sickness" has moved to "evening sickness".  Hopefully it goes away all together soon!
I was 12 weeks on Sunday, so I've been praying!

Here are the rest of the ultrasound pics!  I will be 20 weeks at Thanksgiving time so hopefully we can find out the sex at that time!

Finally.....the rest of our summer

A few more pictures from the summer!  We had a blast spending many days at the pool, the children's museum, hanging out with friends, and playing!

These pictures are from Paul's cousin Tracy's wedding to Tom.  The 3 cousins looked so cute all dressed up!  They LOVE to dance together at wedding receptions and have been getting a lot of practice!  Grady & Isaac are in love with each other, Luke doesn't think much of Grady right now.  He kind of cramps his style and takes away his brother!

Cheese!  He loves to give my camera to me, say cheese, and beg me to take his picture.  Little ham!

This kid is obsessed with his tee....

Look closely at the tee in the background....that's not a ball.... :) This little boy is constantly trying new things on his tee and then goes to get his bat to hit it off.  Among his favorite are:  his sippy cup, the remote, blocks, the bat, his snacks, a pillow toys, his shoes, pretty much anything he can find.  This day I heard him messing around in the kitchen cupboards and when I turned to look at what he was doing this is what I saw!  He was just getting ready to hit it off with his bat.   But, of course, as soon as he saw me with the camera he quickly squated down and said "cheese!" which is his new camera thing to do.
Speaking of batting, his Daddy will be very happy to tell you that he now swings with BOTH HANDS on the bat.  He has been trying to get him to do this for the past couple of months, which I think is ridiculous for an 18 month old, but whatever.  Although his Daddy does say that there is still too much "chop" on his swing.  So, I guess that will give them something to work on.....

Here he is so proud of himself!

More "cheese" poses

My little handsome man!
(Yes that is Regis and Kelly in the background, our favorite morning show! :))

18 Months Old Already!

Our little boy is 18 months old today!  It's crazy how fast that time has gone!
Here are some pictures of G the past couple of weeks.  He has become such a grown up little boy within the past month!  He is talking a lot more and loves to sing, especially Row Row Row Your Boat, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Ring Around The Rosie!  We just say "Sing your songs" and he starts with "row, row, row...." It is so cute!
He has also turned into a smart (aka naughty) little cookie!  He definatly keeps us on our toes!  He is to the point where it is very hard to take him anywhere because he LOVES to run and run and run, which he has always loved to do, but now he KNOWS that he can run away from us and it is a game to him.  Little Stinker!  He loves to run in the street especially because he knows he is not supposed to.....see what I mean about the naughtiness???    :)
He still loves to hug and kiss and give eskimo kisses!  That's what we love about our little boy!  As crazy as he is, he always wants to come and give us hugs and kisses and is SO lovey!  It's awesome!  When we go someplace he can just play and play and run around and not even know we are there, but when he does remember we're there he runs up for a hug!
He is going through a screaming phase right now which has been frustrating.  We think it's because he is communicating so well that when we don't know what he wants or when he isn't getting what he wants right away he just screams because he is frustrated.  He is used to us always knowing what he wants, but now that he is picking up new words it takes us a little bit to figure out what he wants!  Hopefully this phase passes quickly because we have had to leave several places lately due to excessive screaming at the top of his lungs.....did I mention he also has a temper???  :)
He is gettig to be very easy to put to bed, which is awesome!  He naps great!  Still doing 2 a day, but he can go with just an afternoon nap if he needs to.  However, the morning naps are his easiest to go down for and he can sleep 2 to 3 hours if I let him.  Many times he comes up and lets us know he is ready for bed.  He fusses and whines and wants up and as soon as we pick him up he puts his head on our shoulders.  We ask if he wants to go night night and he either nods his head or says yes.  Sometimes he will go in his room and get his blanket and stand by his crib whining to get in.  Nights are harder than this if it is before 10:00.  But, his bedtime this summer has been 10:00 or later and he goes right down.
We have tried many nights to put him to bed before 10:00 and he fights it and screams until he throws up in his crib.  (Remember the naughtiness???)  haha!

This picture is from when he got his leg stuck in his crib a few days ago.  He was napping and must have fallen asleep with his leg stuck in the bars of the crib and woke himself up when he was trying to turn.  I went in there and it was stuck up to his thigh and I couldn't get it out.  He was screaming in pain and I couldn't get it past his knee.  We had to call Daddy to the rescue!  This pic is from while we were waiting.....

His favorite toy....the hose!  He is obsessed with hoses!  He LOVES to play in water and can play with hoses for hours!  He sticks it in his face, all over his body, on top of his head, he twirls it around, whatever he can find to get water all over.  It has gotten so bad that we have to hide the hose in our backyard so he can't get to it or he throws a huge fit the entire time because he wants the water on.

This is Grady and Luke playing!  Grady's new thing is when you tell him you are going to take a picture he says "cheese" and then squats down.  It is so weird.  We have no idea how he learned that!

Grady and Isaac!
Isaac wanted to copy the "picture stance"!

Children's Museum and Our Pool

This week we finally played out in the little pool we set up in the back yard!  We've been busy going to Cody Pool or out of town so this is the first time Grady got to play in it.  He loved it!  It has a sprinkler attachment that sprays water out of the top ring and he loved that part of it.  He stood there forever with all of his little cups and buckets filling them up and dumping them on himself.

We also got to go to the Children's Museum in North Platte for the first time, which he also loved!  At first he just ran all over like crazy of course, but then after he checked everything out he calmed down and played with things for awhile.  Of course my little dancer loved the music room.  He also loved the car room where he could push cars down the ramp and race them.  He stood and did that for a long time.  He gets to be a little too agressive and destructive with some things, but for the most part he did really good!  He is starting to not be so crazy all the time, which is nice for his mom and dad!  :)
I can't believe he will be 17 months old on Sunday!  He is growing so fast!
