Brynlee likes to come in our bathroom in the mornings while I'm getting ready and just be next to me. It's so sweet. She only does it about one day a week because lately I've been having to wake her up, which I hate! Hopefully daylight savings will help when it might not be quite so dark at 6:30 am.
It reminds me of last year when she would wake up before we were ready (back when we didn't have to leave the house until 7:40! We had it easy! :)) and I would put her in the exersaucer in our bathroom and she would love it! Now she is grown out of that and just lays herself down on the floor with her blankets. She also loves to sit up on the counter to do her hair and makeup, along with body spray and Chapstick....quite the little princess.

Lots of help
These two are at my side helping in the kitchen every time I set foot in there. In fact, if one of them is helping but the other isn't, the one not gets rather ticked off. We experienced the wrath of Grady yesterday after Brynlee and I had made brownies without him.... These pics are from a few weeks ago when we made cinnamon rolls whirl Paul was at a Husker football game. It was the first time I made homemade cinnamon rolls from scratch. They turned out great! The best part was Grady and I sitting together sharing one at 10:30 PM after they were finally done, watching the exciting end of the Wisconsin fball game together! We were both yelling and cheering at the tv. (Grady loves Taylor Martinez and loves to watch him play and gets super into the games...) Such a great memory! And Grady has asked if we can make more cinnamon rolls about every day since then.... :)
Family lunch
It was my Dad's birthday last week so we celebrated by going out to lunch at Valentinos. There was a balloon maker, so we had lots of fun with that!

*There are probably a few more that I can't think of right now. Her speech and language was actually one of my concerns at her 18 Month Check-Up, but she is meeting the milestone for 18 months so the doctor is not worried about it yet. We have noticed that for the past few months, since she has continuously beeng getting teeth, she will not open her mouth to talk. She says words with her mouth closed, and we can tell what she means, but it is just odd! So, of course, as soon as I was getting worried and asked the doctor about it, she has been doing much better these past few weeks. She is really starting to talk a lot on her own and will pretty much 'parrot' everything we tell her to. So, I'm not so much worried anymore, just still notice how far behind she is of Grady when he was this age. It's so hard to not compare! :)
The most imporant milestone Brynlee has met this month is being an awesome shopping buddy!!! She loves to go shopping with me and does such a good job! It's amazing to me how much more mellow she becomes when I am with her one-on-one and she doesn't have her brother to bother. :) I see many more shopping trips in our future! She especially loves, shoe shopping! Yes!
She also got to go get a 'pedicure' for the first time! We didn't do a full pedicure, just had them painted, but she also got to have the special things put on her toes, filed, etc. She sat so nice and let them do it and watched in awe. And she LOVED her pretty pink toes when they were done! I also see many more trips to the nail salon in our future! It was so fun!
She is just such a sweet girl! She is getting such a funny little personality and likes to be a little comedian, just like her brother. We sit in amazement at times over the things she does to make us laugh. She brings such joy to our lives! :)

Pretend play
The kids are really starting to 'pretend' play together, as much as Brynlee can at this age. She just goes along with whatever Grady does, even though she has no idea what she is actually doing. :)
This day they were playing movie theatre...they set up their chairs about 6 inches from the tv!

Love it
Every day when we get home on preschool days, Grady runs inside and puts his shoes on the rug by the front door in their spot. Then runs to his room and hangs his backpack up on his closet door in its spot! I love how he runs and does this and I don't even tell him to! Usually I don't even realize he has done it until later! Such a nicely trainer OCD 3 year old. :) haha
