First 'friend' birthday party

Brynlee had her first birthday party of a friend a couple weeks ago! (For the record, Grady has never had a friend birthday party before, except for the ones that our whole family goes to.)
Her friend, Elise, who also goes to Kellan's house turned 2 years old. It was a super fun owl party! They made this cute owl craft. I took her to the party while Paul took Grady to the children's museum. Grady was a little jealous about not getting to go to a bday party, but the museum made it better! :)

Sit n spin stunt tricks

Bryns got this sit and spin for Christmas. She has yet to actually sit down on it...
The other day I caught her standing up on the top handle of it and then jumping off! No idea how she got up there, other than that she is crazy! No wonder she has already had a broken arm.... She is a wild woman! She likes to lay over it and spin herself around like that. I have also seen her line her babies up on it and spin them around!! It is a very multifunctional toy!

Baby Finn

Brynlee loves baby Finn soooo much! Luckily Tyler and Anslee love to get out of their house a lot and come visit or meet up, or have visitors! :)
I think these pics were of New Years Eve at their house. Brynlee doesn't even get jealous when I hold him, she just pushes her way onto my lap so she can hold him too! Such a baby lover!

Girls night!

Paul is downstairs watching the National Championship game.
Grady is in our room watching Nick Jr.
Bryns and I are in the living room watching The Bachelor.
Yep, this is our family. We are so cool.

I was sitting in a video rocker chair watching The Bach and Brynlee came and pulled up her little chair next to me and has been watching it right along with me...and her babies, of course!

I do feel a little dumb that I'm not watching the fball game, but I really don't care about it at all. I didn't even really know who was playing in it until yesterday when I just happened to see someone post something on Facebook about it. What has happened to me?!?! :)
My girls night with Brynlee is a lot more fun! I have only taken off baby clothes and put them back on a gazillion times, what better thing could I be doing??

*I called Grady in and tore him away his show to snap this pic of Bryns and I. Isn't it lovely? :) I tried calling Paul up first, but he was on the phone with his brother deep in conversation about the Husker recruits who will help the Huskers in 5 years when we are playing the National Championship game....

Our 6th Christmas….I think.

We had our Christmas with Paul’s immediate family on Dec. 29th this year.  Mike and Mary Kate were in Ohio with her family during the week of Christmas so when they got back we could all get together.  It’s always such a fun day!

I think this is the best pic we could get off all 5 kids.  And, they are all good, except for Grady who was crazy and going on no nap.  Sigh.

The girls!

This is the best I could get of Grace by herself.  Ha!  She kept crawling away and nobody was fast enough to get the pic!  And honestly, we didn’t try very hard….maybe next year!

Merry Christmas!!!!

It was a wonderful Christmas season and an even more wonderful Christmas break!  SO thankful that I am a teacher and get 2 weeks off.  And, it is such a great reminder to me as to why I don’t stay home with my kids everyday.  haha!  Just joking…kind of.  But it really is a great reminder to me as to why we are constantly on the go in the summer….I can’t take being cooped up in the house and neither can they!  Getting my blog caught up this morning was about the last straw of my patience…and yes, this was the absolute most important thing for me to do today.  So important that Grady was begging at my legs for lunch because he was starving to death.  So, my children are starving, but at least my blog is now caught up!

You’re welcome.

So, last year I did a couple new years resolutions about my blog that lasted until about June I think.  My goals were to update it at least once a week and to do a monthly recap.  Well, basically since school started and we had to adjust to teaching at a new school with 2 kids, the blog was neglected.  Sorry to my faithful follower(s) (Becky…)  who I left hanging.  Smile

So, this year I am not going to make any promises.  I will stick with whatever I can update from my phone mostly because that is the easiest and least time consuming way.  And, I tend to take 90% of pictures from my phone, as you can’t help but notice due to the indoor quality of them.  Luckily, outdoor does pretty well.

Happy 2013!

Christmas morning at our house

And I thought I was doing such a good job of keeping these blog posts in order!  Oops!  This one snuck past me.

Santa came to our house early this year!  He came on December 23rd, since he knew we would be at Grandma & Grandpa’s house on Christmas morning.  Luckily we had Conley who overheard us talking about it and could go report back to Santa!  Winking smile

Santa had left the kids a note that said he left the presents in the basement.  So (before we knew this) when Grady got up and walked out to the living room (upstairs) and saw there wasn’t anything there he said, “Oh, Santa must have heard that I was naughty!”  Haha!

Luckily, we found the note and ran downstairs to find the presents!

And, yes there are only 3 stockings.  I made the mistake of having Paul’s out since it had a couple things in it, but mine didn’t.  Grady could not get over the fact that I didn’t have one.  I learned my lesson for next year! Smile
