Favorite Day of the month

The new American Girl catalog has arrived!! She will sit and look through it and pick out all of her favorites for hours if she could!

Grady the soccer player

Grady played micro soccer with a YMCA clinic in September.  It was super awesome for his age group!  They split up into groups with 1 coach and 1 helper and they basically did drills that were actually games.  He did great, for never having played soccer before or realling knowing what a soccer ball was before he started.  (If you know Paul at all you know he hates soccer and doesn't think it is a real sport....so it was so big of him to allow Grady to play! haha)  We loved the coaches and the types of drills they did were so age appropriate.  It was every Saturday morning in September, so it was short enough that we didn't get tired of going, but just long enough that Grady was very comfortable and looked forward to it each week.
He has become so much more interested in sports over the summer and pretty much plans his days around when he can play/practice baseball in the basement with Paul.  Just the other day we said something about college and he (in true dramatic Grady fashion) said in a very whiny voice, 'No!  I don't like college because then I have to choose if I want to play baseball or football and I just like them both!'  HA!  Such a hard life as a 4 year old to have to choose between what he wants to play in college.  :)
Paul is loving having his little sports buddy who always wants to play baseball, knows all of the Royals players by number and position, can name almost all of the major league baseball teams by their helmets, and is super sad that baseball season is over now, but counting down the days until it starts again.  He is now starting to get into football season a little more, but is having a hard time with the fact that we won't let him tackle or be tackled.  (His glasses broke 3 times in the past 2 weeks because of tackling...)  I taught him about flag and touch football the other day so now he is excited to be able to 'teach' Luke and Isaac about that and not tackle since he isn't allowed to play.  He even said to me, "When I get to heaven I will be able to play tackle football and anything I want since I won't have glasses there."  Love it!  :)

Roca Pumpkin Patch!

Brynlee got to go to 3 different pumpkin patches this fall!  At every one she was determined to find 'a little tiny pumpkin'.  She was LOVING this tiny green one she found at Roca!  She actually found an even smaller one at the 3rd pumpkin patch she went to and was in love with it.  It was so tiny it did actually fit into her little hand perfectly.  She is obsessed with all things 'little' and tells us that she is NOT a big girl that she is little.  She doesn't want to have anything to do with being a big girl right now, wants to be carried everywhere, etc.  Which, is weird because we would sort of expect this behavior after the baby is born, but we are still months away from the baby being born!  It is actually so adorable, that I love it when she says things about being little.  :)  Grady gets very bad though and fights her on the fact that she IS a big girl.

Grady took his time in finding the perfect pumpkin for him.  He didn't really care about the size (although we told him he had to be able to carry it by himself...), he just wanted one without any holes or spots on it.

Pink Out night at tumbling!

She was living her dream with getting to wear all pink!! She looked forward to it all day and was so excited to change into her tumbling clothes!!
I love my little girly girl! And I love that she loves tumbling so much and is good at it!

Pumpkin Run

Grady did the Pumpkin Run with Paul at Pioneers Park a few weeks ago.  It was a 1 mile course and he ran the entire thing, loving it!  They stopped at one point because he decided he wanted his gloves on and Paul said he kept getting so mad at all of the people passing them!  But, as soon as they got the gloves on and started going again they passed those people and he was super excited.  :)

The 'cheering' section.... haha!

Brynlee and her BFF :)

Baby Girl at 21.5 weeks

Weighs 1 lb.
Has been curled up in a ball, very low,  every ultrasound we have had. I can tell when she moves how low she is because every movement is right into my bladder so it is like a jolt. Hoping she moves further up as she gets bigger and decides to stretch out more!
I love the pic of her cute little nose and profile!

Halloween with a Dinosaur, Butterfly Princess, and Baby Pumpkin

We had a fun Halloween this year!  We went to the Children's Museum the first weekend in October and dressed up in our costumes for a costume parade and different stations to check out.  The weekend before Halloween we went to Boo at the Zoo and got to do the trick or treating there in our costumes and a fun train ride!  Then on Halloween night we started off with dinner at Applebees with Ashley (kids ate free there on Halloween!) where almost everyone was in costume so that was super fun.  Then we went trick or treating at my Aunt Lori's and then Aunt Shari's.  We got back to our neighborhood in time to meet up with some of our neighbors to hit the street.  We were so surprised at how well Grady did with trick or treating!  Usually he can be quite shy, but he walked right up to the doors, rang the door bell, said trick or treat, said thank you and ran back super excited!  By the end of the night Grady and Luke (our neighbor boy who is truly Grady's soul mate match, just exactly a year older...) were running ahead of all of us doing it all on their own!  By that point the girls were cold, whiny, tired, and wanted to be carried by their Daddies, so the Daddies were ready to call it a night after 2 streets.  :)

Brynlee's Halloween Costume Debacle:
So, I had picked out a super cute pink and yellow dinosaur costume for Brynlee and she was excited that both her and Grady were going to go as dinosaurs and match.  Well, in theory she was excited about it.  In reality she did not want to touch that costume or have it put on her at all.  The first time she had to wear it (at the Children's Museum) she kicked and screamed the whole time we forced it on her and then pouted the rest of the time.  So, when she started to do the same thing before Boo at the Zoo I decided we needed to go a different route.  I even said we could put a Tutu on the dinosaur, but she did NOT want that, she only wanted the tutu on herself.  She wanted to be a 'princess'.  For some reason Paul and I both do not enjoy the 'princess' stuff and try not to allow most of that, but of course she LOVES it all!  She is SO girly and refuses most of the outfits I pick out for her unless it is a dress or skirt, so I should have KNOWN!  I am mad at myself for not just doing a girly costume to start with.  So, we are loaded in the car to go to Boo at the Zoo and she is crying and yelling that she doesn't want the dinosaur.  (She also has bronchitis during this so we were trying not to let her cry or yell too much because it made her cough worse and her voice more hoarse.)  I quickly ran back in the house and looked through all of our dress up stuff to see what I can find.  Luckily I found this pink tutu butterfly costume that she had never even worn before.  So, that became her costume.  She was SO excited when she saw me bringing it to the car, the whole way there she held it and sang, "I love my princess costume!" over and over again.  Then when we got to the zoo and I was trying to put it on her I said that I only have a red hair bow and I didn't bring a pink one.  She said, "My hair is perfect Mommy, I did it in the car on the way here."  Well, okay then...  :)
She ended up looking super cute and I'm so glad she was happy with her costume!  I just wish I would have had time to come up with something 'better' that went along with our theme because I am all about the theme and having them match, but this year that is what we got!

At the zoo all excited to be in her 'pretty princess butterfly' costume!
