Christmas Break Fun!

The kids got these awesome bubble guns for Christmas in the stockings at the Luehring Christmas and they loved trying them out one of the warm afternoons we had the week of Christmas!

And, a little iPad fun where they were actually playing together and helping each other take turns to do a puzzle.  You would never know that Grady had JUST gotten out of timeout for pushing Brynlee after she wrecked his lego creation he had built….  Smile

Christmas Break Projects

So the days we were actually home over Christmas break we were super busy doing house projects.  We moved Brynlee into Grady’s room, set up the baby’s room in Brynlee’s old room, and totally redid our toy room/downstairs living room area for toys.  I LOVE the way it turned out but it was a lot of work and is STILL not quite done.  Grady & Brynlee’s room is not getting a lot done to it because the long term goal is to have Brynlee move back into the other room and share with the baby, so we just got her some new bedding to match the red walls and took down all of the baseball stuff.  We also took the closet doors off which added a lot more space in the room!  These pictures were taken immediately after we switched things, so it doesn’t show the curtains we added and we painted BIG letters of G and B red to put above their beds.  I love it!

Christmas Festivities

Most of these pictures are not good quality.  I was having flash and camera issues so sorry these pictures are not good at all, but you get the idea of the Christmas festivities.  Smile

We had 6 Christmas parties and were able to make 5 of them, so basically these last 2 weeks has been nonstop traveling/partying/celebrating!

Here are a few pictures from the Luehring family Christmas in Lincoln.  Brynlee, Madison, & Grady.  Crazy kids.

Santa came to visit at Kellan’s house the week of Christmas!  AND, my kids both sat on his lap on their own and smiled!  They told him what they wanted for Christmas and did a great job!  I think it helped that they had done it 2 days before that (but with much more fear) at the Guenther family Christmas and saw all of their cousins do it.  Then with seeing all of their friends do it, they figured they could do it too!  Kellan got some great pics of them!  It’s a Christmas miracle!

On Christmas Eve I took the kids to see The Polar Express at the movie theatre.  What a great idea to show it on Christmas Eve, and for only $3 and free popcorn!  We had never seen it before, so it was super fun!

We went to mass at St. John’s in Lincoln on Christmas Eve.  The mass was offered for Paul’s Grandpa Ken so his Grandma Betty and other family was there for it too.  Luckily they went over an hour early and saved seats for us so we didn’t have to go so early with the kids!

Here is our little photo shoot before church:

I finally got smart and made them go outside so the camera would be a little bit better for me!

Our attempt at family pictures after mass… At least we got somewhat of a decent one.  It only took literally 50 tries….

One of Brynlee’s Christmas presents!  This is the only one I got.  I guess I was too busy enjoying watching them open gifts to take pics of it!

And, I didn’t take any other pictures of our other Christmas celebrations.  So, just picture us having a blast.  Smile

The kids got bikes and helmets from Santa, legos, doll stuff, princess stuff, baseball stuff, husker uniform, princess dress up stuff, endless amounts of toys, games, pajamas, more baby stuff, and so much more!  They are spoiled and so blessed.

Ice Skating and a Haircut

Ashley & Derek took Grady to the ice rink in the Railyard a couple weeks ago.  He really liked it, but was pretty nervous of course.  Ashley as pretty nervous too, so they both held hands and held the side of the rink, but after a few times around she said it got easier.  He was so excited to tell everyone that he had went ice skating since he had never been before.

Miss Brynlee got 3 inches cut off of her hair a few weeks ago.  I was so sad to see it go and am praying the curls on the ends come back as it grows, but it looks so much better now with even ends and much easier to brush through in the morning.  Since getting her dressed is such a chore every morning, we needed to simplify the hair process!  ha!
