The other bad thing was that Grady was sick for the first time. He's had a few cold like symptoms before, mostly from teething, but this was the first time he was actually really sick. We think it might have been H1N1. He pretty much had a fever for 5 or 6 days straight. Threw up a LOT. Wouldn't eat, wouldn't sleep, wouldn't stop fussing/crying/screaming. Wouldn't let me or Paul out of his sight. We couldn't go in the bathroom without him crying. It was pretty much miserable for him and us. He slept in bed with us every night because he wouldn't sleep otherwise and he would just scream and cry all night off and on. Needless to say, it was not fun! I felt so bad for him!
By the end of the week he was feeling a little better and sort of back to his old self. It was a shame that Paul's family didn't get to really be with him that much because he wouldn't allow it...and see him be his fun and excited self.
The good news is that the week after he was sick he was AWESOME! He was so much fun and a very happy little boy! I loved being at home with him for the 2 days we were actually home over Christmas break. :)
So, after all of the snow issues we came home a day later then planned since the roads still weren't opened up until the Monday after Christmas (and some still weren't open then). We were home for 2 days and then headed to Lincoln for the weekend to finally do Christmas with my family. It was a crazy Christmas break and when we got back I was ready for my 2 week vacation to START, not end!
Here are a few pictures of our Christmas happenings. I will try to post some more later, I'm trying to weed through them all to pick out the good ones. I didn't really get many of Gradyn since he was sick and not really cooperative at all! I will also try to post some pictures of the snow storm and all the crazy drifts!
