So the lack of updates recently has to do with the fact that we are Moving! It is definately very bittersweet for us. We are so excited to be in Lincoln, close to lots of family but we are also so sad to leave our friends in North Platte! I am very sad to leave my job at Hershey and especially all of my friends there! Thank God for Facebook so we can all still stay in touch.
This is a brief recap of our past couple months:
June 24 - Paul accepted the job in Lincoln. He will be working for the same agency (Farm Service Agency, a branch of the USDA) but in the State Office. He will not be doing the same type of work. He will be a "Specialist" who will help the loan officers around the state and focus more on certain things, can't really remember what they are.... :)
June 25 - Met with our realtor to start putting our house on the market.
June 26 - Painted, Organized, Cleaned, Painted, Painted some more!
June 28 - House officially goes on the market!
July 1 - We left for vacation in Denver with Ron, Doris, & Ashley! Had a blast going to baseball games (the Royals were playing the Rockies that weekend), the Zoo, the Children's museum, shopping, eating out, etc! (Pictures will hopefully come soon....)
July 4 - We got an offer on our house!!! We were on our way back from Denver when I got the call. I was riding with Ashley and we were almost to Cheyenne so I called Paul and got in with them so we could discuss the offer and get back to our realtor.
July 5 - House sold! Only took 6 days! Woo Hoo!!!! We are so blessed that it happened so fast because then we could start OUR househunting.....
July 8 - Started looking at houses in Lincoln......all weekend long.
July 10 - Found a house! Made an offer!
July 11 - Offer was accepted! Well, we accepted their counter offer, but it was done!!!
July 15 - Went back to Lincoln to go to the inspection of the new house. Everything looked really good, just a few minor details to fix. Sellers agreed to fix everything. (The buyers of our house didn't ask for an inspection, so we were lucky there! Not that there is anything wrong with it or that needs fixed at all! :) )
Rest of July - packing, getting things organized, planned, etc. AND, trying to have FUN since summer is almost over!! boo!
Oh, and I have also been busy looking and applying for jobs. I have an interview tomorrow, hoping a couple other things start working out also! If not, I will substitute and wait until something comes along.
We are closing on both houses on August 10th. But, we are moving into the house in Lincoln on the 7th and the buyers of our house are moving in on the 8th.
At this point we haven't done much packing, just all of our wall hangings and decor. This weekend we are planning on trying to get a lot of packing done! Well, as much as the kids will allow! :)
We are getting excited to get moved and get everything settled. We are also SOOO excited for how much more room we are going to have in our new house! We are basically adding 2 more bedrooms, 1 more bathroom, and a basement! The kids will have a toy room, which I am really excited for.

Hopefully more pics of the kids coming soon! I have still had such a hard time getting pictures to upload on here this summer!! I have tried numerous times!
How exciting! Good luck with the next part of your journey!
