Summer Adventures

I started running this summer and there has been a couple of occasions that it didn’t work for me to go in the morning before Paul left for work so I attempted to take the kids with me.  The school a block away from our house put in a paved walking/biking path around the outside of the playground so it has been awesome for walking/running on while the kids play on the playground…well, awesome if they will actually stay there and play which has been an issue…  One day Grady was apparently too tired to run back home with me so I put all 3 of them in the double jogger together and Grady had to hold Ellery.  Then about half way home Ellery got hungry so Brynlee got to feed her while Grady held her.  Teamwork!

Field Trip to the capitol!  They love going up to the top floor to look out at the city and find the things they know!

This picture of Grady biking was another exercise adventure.  He biked and I walked/ran with the girls to the library (1.25 miles from our house).  I was super impressed that he rode over 2 miles round trip on a pretty hot day!  And it’s pretty much uphill the whole way there.  The trip home took us around 15 minutes less than the trip there, downhill is awesome!  (P.S.  He is already planning on asking Santa for a bigger bike for Christmas!)
