She is right on track and doing very well with everything! She is running around everywhere like a crazy person. She climbs on top of everything so she can stand up and dance or jump on them. She climbs to the top of every slide and throws herself down it. The girl has no fear.
She LOVES fruit still. Especially grapes, her newfound love! She still loves mandarins and strawberries, but is currently on a grape kick. She also eats a whole banana every day (or more), loves applesauce, oranges, kiwi, and has even eaten a little cantelope. She is a great eater, and will eat pretty much everything, not just fruit!
She is starting to talk a little bit more. She will say: Mama, Da (Daddy), More (and do the sign), Bye, Grady, Row (for row, row row your boat), Rock (when she rocks herself on her horse or in a chair), Ring (for ring around the rosie). And, I'm sure there are a few more that I can't remember right now. She isn't talking near as much as Grady was when he was her age, which I think is because she does such a good job of asking for what she wants without talking! And also partly because she just follows her brothers lead and copies everything he does. He also does some talking for her...
She LOVES to do ring around the rosie, she loves to play bucking bulls, and she loves to be read to! She will only sit still for about half a second for each page and then she wants to jump up to get you a new book. She is great at sitting by herself and looking through book after book. She loves her babies and baby stroller and will push it around all day long, putting lots of random stuff in it. She also loves to be outside, playing in the pool, the playground, whatever. She is a great stroller rider at the zoo or an outing, as long as you keep it moving! She pretty much follows her brother around and will play with whatever he is doing. Both of their favorite things to do is chase each other around laughing.
She has been doing one nap a day for a couple months now. Some days she will still do 2 naps, depending on when she falls asleep for her first nap. It has been a challenge to work with the nap schedules this summer. Most days Brynlee is done with her nap before Grady even falls asleep, which leads to about a 5 hour afternoon nap session. I think Brynlee is finally established that she can wait until 12:30ish to fall asleep, but somedays it is a struggle to make it that long. Other days I will purposelly put her down around 10:30-11:00 if I want her to nap late afternoon with Grady, just depends on what we are doing that day!
She has been off of her bottle since the week she turned one. She gave up the pacifier herself at 6 months. So, we don't have those things to work on anymore. She loves having her 2 blankets to go to sleep with, turn the sound machine on, and she is good in her room by herself for about 12 hours. She wakes up and just lays there talking to herself, playing with her blankets, etc. until I come in and get her. Great sleeper and she loves to have her morning time to herself! :)
She has 2 of her molars in and is currently working on about 4 or 5 teeth. It's about time! She has had such few teeth for a little time and it takes her forever to get them in! We have been surprised at how well she eats for how few teeth she has.
Oh Brynlee, how are you already 15 months old?!? You have grown up so fast, we feel like you were a baby for only a few short weeks. Rolling over at 6 weeks old and you haven't stopped moving like crazy after that! We love you so much!! Can't wait to keep watching you grow Bryns!
