Cuteness

Yes, I realize that there are 300 times more pics of Brynlee than Grady. She is just such a ham for the camera right now! She just lights up and smiles big every time she sees it! Her brother definately does not! :)
You might also notice that she has a thing lately with sticking out her tongue when she smiles!
You might also notice her love for books!
And, you might also notice her obsession with sitting (or standing if she can get away with it...) on my computer. Ugh. Notice her doing the splits on top of it because it was the only way she could figure out how to get on top of it when it was on the ottoman. Crazy girl!

Trouble

Looks like trouble...

Random Monday Fun

Yesterday the kids and I had no plans and nowhere we needed to be all day. It was an awesome feeling! I think it is the first day all summer that we didn't have anything planned. We started off by sleeping in, which is always nice! Grady has been in a routine of sleeping until 8:00 or 8:30ish and Brynlee pretty much just hangs out in her crib until we come get her. She loves her morning alone time! I'm not sure what time she actually wakes up, she is always awake and laying in her crib just looking around and talking to herself. Sometimes she starts to call for me before I go in there, but not typically.
Anyway, yesterday started off with sleeping in! After breakfast we left with intentions of running to Target and then to the Y so I could workout while they went to child watch. (Brynlee has been one other time before and did well! I'm pretty sure she just followed Grady around the whole time!)
Of course, our Target trip took much longer than expected. So instead of the Y we found a new park to play at for a bit and then went to see my Aunt Shari's house improvements. (she just put it on the market...)
After that we went home for lunch and naps. They both took long naps! Even Brynlee, who is typically a short napper. The heat from our pool time on Sunday must have worn them out! And, the best part is that I got a lot done during nap time! Everything on my list got done, including making a list of everything I want to get done the rest of the week during nap time! I know. I'm a nerd.
As soon as the kids got up (actually we woke Grady up so we could get going, which actually happens often....I have too many fun things I want to do to be held up by his nap! Haha) we headed downtown for frozen yogurt at Red Mango and then the Children's Museum!
After that we headed home for dinner and then went on a long walk with Paul! Ended the night with my fave, The Bachelorette!!!!
I love those days of no plans and we can just make our own day of fun.

And then today (Tuesday) I took the kids to Kellan's all day to play! I got the day off! It was awesome to be at home by myself and get a lot done, do some shopping, work out, make dinner, etc! And it was great going to pick the kids up again and hear about how much fun they had! Grady hasn't been to Kellan's this summer so he was really missing his friends!

buckin' bulls

Brynlee had been inducted to the Guenther family favorite children's activity!
Bucking bulls! She can't get enough! She will go stand behind Paul and pull at his shirt to get him to bend down and buck her of his back! And, if she doesn't fall all the way to her back she makes a dramatic fall to get herself to her back in some way. She's a crazy cowgirl!!

Prairieland Dairy Days

Yesterday we went to Prairieland Dairy, outside of Lincoln, by Firth for the dairy days event they had. It was awesome! We couldn't believe what a huge event it was! We parked at Norris school to get on a bus to go out to the dairy, which Grady loved! Everything was free. Free lunch, milk, and ice cream too!!! Obviously we have all been to a dairy many times and know how they work, but it was still fun to see and talk about how it is just like Grandpa's! It was a really great event for all the city kids who don't get to go to farms. We had a good time and the fact that it was all free was really sweet! Unfortunately, I didn't take very many pics...just a few!

fave

This is one of my favorite pictures from our summer. So sweet!

Zoo again

We made another trip to the 'little' zoo this week! My goal is once a week. This week we got to see the penguins eating lunch! Grady also bought food to feed the camels all by himself! He did every step of it all by himself while I watched! He then fed the camels the feed one little piece at a time....even the camels got tired of waiting for their snack, but it was so sweet! :)
Next week I hope to get him talked into doing a camel ride with me!
