The first weekend in June we went to a lake in Iowa (can't remember the name of it right now, but is is close to Fort Dodge...and other towns that I also can't remember right now, and am not going to take the time to look up...) But, I do know that it was around 4 hours from Lincoln.
We left on Friday after lunch so the kids could nap on the way there, and arrived around 5:00.
Unfortunately, the weather was not very great the entire weekend, so we didn't get a chance to swim in the lake or get in the water, but we were able to walk along the beach and put our feet in the water for a bit. We went on a lot of walks to the park, played baseball, sat outside on the deck/dock, and ate some good food! We left to go home on Sunday around noon, for nap time.
It was a fun weekend with most of the Guenther family! We are already excited about a possible trip back there next summer. And, hopefully we will have nice weather that weekend!
