KC mini vaca awesomeness

We went to Kansas City on Thursday and Friday for a mini vaca.  It was seriously SO awesome.  One of my favorite vacations EVER!
We stayed downtown at a hotel connected to Crown Center, which was awesome so we could just walk everywhere, since everything we did was at Crown Center, except for the Royals game.  The hotel was awesome, we were on the 27th floor, so had gorgeous views of the city!  Grady thought it was the coolest thing ever to look out and see helicopters and airplanes at our eye level!  And, to look down at everything was awesome.  We had a view of the downtown city skyline, so that was really cool at night when everything was lit up!  The hotel also had a rooftop pool, so that was cool too!  We only were able to use it for about 15 minutes, but it was still cool.
The BEST part (for Grady, and probably for me too!) was Fritz's restaurant!  It's a train restaurant where your food comes to you from a train delivering it and then dropping it down on your trable.  I tried to take pictures of the system, but they probably don't do it justice.
*Side Note:  My phone is not taking good pictures inside for some reason.  Outside pictures are fine, but something is going on with it when I take pictures inside.  It is driving me crazy!
Anyway, the train restaurant was awesome and a big hit!  After they gave us conductor hats, Grady kept yelling 'All Aboard!!' and everyone in the restaurant was laughing at him!  It was so cute!  He was in love the entire time and asked us the rest of the trip if we could go back there!  Definately will be going again!
After Fritz's we went to the Royals game.  The won!  That's the best part of the game.  The kids were not very good during it, so that was annoying.  They usually do better than that, but short naps and being way past bed time, along with Brynlee getting a molar and having a major attitude, made the game unbearable for her.  She just screamed at everything we would try to do to help her.  I took the kids to the car at the top of the 8th inning and Paul finished watching it in peace.  :)  He was SO pumped since they won in the bottom of the 9th, celebrating with the strangers he was standing by!  haha!
The next morning we went to eat breakfast (which is awesome that we could just walk right there through a tunnel/link thing) and then swim in the hotel rooftop pool for a bit.  We then booked it to get showered, packed up, checked out, and over to Legoland by 10:00.
Legoland was great!!  Even better than I thought it might be!  There was an awesome ride for the whole family and a 4-D movie that was super cool!  It blowed air, water, and snow on us when it went along with the cartoon, it was the perfect 15 minute cartoon!
After Legoland we went to eat lunch at the Crayola Cafe, which was ok, not great.  Grady was begging to go back to the train restaurant, of course!  :)
After lunch we went to Sea Life (an aquarium) that is attached with Legoland, we booked them together for a better price!  Sea Life was just ok.  The aquarium at the Omaha Zoo is better.  But, it was still a nice little thing to do before we went home.  We somewhat hurried through it because, seriously once you've seen one fish, you've seen them all....  :)  And, we were going on 2 days of short nights and very short naps, so the kids were exhausted!  They were still doing great, of course, and could have kept vacationing all weekend, but I just felt bad for them because you could see it in their eyes how tired they were!
And they WERE!  They slept the entire trip home, were asleep before we even got out of downtown and didn't wake up until we were pulling into Lincoln.  It probably wasn't even a long enough nap for them!  haha!
So, yes.  Our mini vaca to KC was awesome.  Everything was just so great!
And now, the pics:

OH!  I forgot one of the most exciting parts of the whole trip!!  Paul caught a hotdog that Slugger threw to the crowd!!!!!!!
It was so exciting!  Grady ate the entire thing!
