March in Review

Well, it's already April 10th, but better late than never about the month of March in review, right?? :)

Here is a wrap-up of what we did during March:

*I with with Ashley to Kansas City for a wonderul weekend of shopping all by myself!!!  Paul stayed home with the kids and hung out.
*Grady finished up taking swimming lessons at the Y.
*Brynlee walked on her knees everywhere, until about the middle of March when she started walking!
*We went to West Point for a baby shower, Brynlee and I went to the shower, and then Paul and Grady went to hang out at the farm.
*My Aunt Shari fell down a flight of stairs and broke several bones in her back, ribs, foot, etc.  I was able to go get her to take her to the ER and then spent a couple weeks in and out of the hospital with her, getting her situated, etc. until my Aunt Lori and Uncle Scott got back from Africa.  Shari is still recouperating at their house and we go visit often.  While all of that was going on, both of the kids were sick and throwing up so Paul took some days off work and spent time with them while I was taking care of Shari.  Never a dull moment!  :)
*Our little niece, Grace Marie, was baptised in Bancroft.
*We went to North Platte for a weekend to see friends, went to a baby shower, went to eat and bowling!  Great time!  Miss those girls so much!
*We went to a Husker baseball game!
*We took Brynlee to get her 1 year pictures done.
*We prepared for Brynlee's birthday party, made ladybug cakes to take to her party at Kellan's.
*The weather was absolutely georgeous so we spent lots of time going on walks and to the park.  We go on a walk every night we can!
*I am in the process of interviewing for jobs, so been busy with all of that!
*I spent an afternoon making a bunch of frozen meals for the crockpot.  It was super easy and took less than 3 hours for the entire process.  I got 17 different meals.  All of them are for the crockpot, except 2 of them.  All of them will give us lots of leftovers for Paul to take for lunch or for supper the next nights.  I figured that each meal is about $4 each, which gives us many meals.  However, that is not counting most of the cost of meat since we get almost all of our meat for free.  I did buy all of the chicken breast (which most of it is chicken) and a couple of roasts and a couple pork roasts.  It has been SO awesome to have those meals ready to go and stick them in the crockpot!

Looking forward in April to:
*Well, Brynlee's birthday and Easter, which have already passed!  :)
*Paul's birthday
*Going to Holdrege to visit the Deaver's!!!  woot woot!
*Possibly going to KC to watch the Royals for Paul's bday.
*Many more walks/park/time outside!
*The Lincoln Zoo opens!
