Can't believe how fast a year goes! I say it all the time, but I feel like we hardly had a baby with Brynlee. She was just such an awesome baby, that we were really never sleep deprived. She has such a sweet demeanor and has always been so laid back and just happy to be alive! She is SUCH a blessing! We feel like she has been on the move from day 1, another thing that made her not be a baby for very long. She rolled over at 6 weeks, both ways by 3 months, crawling at 5 1/2 months, and from there she was pulling herself up and cruising around furniture immediately. She then walked on her knees for a couple months until she took off on her feet, a couple weeks before her birthday. She is now running and chasing her brother and cousins everywhere! She can't get enough of being chased! She will start to run at us and then when she has our attention she will turn on her heel and run the other way, laughing back at us, just assuming we are coming after her!
She has really started to develop an 'attitude' lately. As much as she was opposite from her brother in so many ways, as a baby, she is now developing quite a few of his characteristics...not exactly what we had in mind for our sweet little girl! :) She definately knows what she wants and when she wants it.
We had her 1 year check up last week, so I will post more about her milestones and such in a separate post about her stats and whatnot.
These are some of the pictures of her birthday party! What a fabulous day! We had 35 (or more, kind of lost count) friends and family over and it was so awesome to be able to have everyone come. Thankfully it was almost 90 degrees and sunny all day! Great for kids running around in the backyard and getting the hose out!
The pink ladybug party!
All of her favorite foods, of course! She is obsessed with turkey and mandarins, especially!
Hot and sweaty kids taking a break to watch a little cartoonage...
Present time! A little pink car! (I may or may not have hinted to my Dad that 'she' wanted this.) :)
Pink cake!
Yep, this is our white trash birthday party fun. Paul got out the hose to spray off the kids...who were running around in their underwear! Luckily they are all boys, besides Madison, who was just fine in her shorts. :) They LOVED it and hated it, all at the same time!
(Paul didn't want to turn the underground sprinklers on, just in case it might still freeze....lame.)
An after party walk to the park! Luke rode on his mom's back! We had quite the parade!
So sweet in her new car, just waiting patiently for a ride!
Happy Birthday Brynlee Kate!!!
We love you!
